Stockholm-Belgrade (part 2)
Stockholm-Belgrade (part 2) was a performance tour through Europe and an installation.
A bench, with its origins in the public space in downtown Stockholm - heavily ornamented by
right wing extremists - was transported through Europe to an exhibition arranged by NIFCA
in Belgrade. The exhibition was part of an official cultural exchange between the Nordic
countries and the former Yugoslavian republics. During eight stops along the way through
Europe, there were discussions and lectures in connection with the project. After the
exhibition in Belgrade - where the bench was beautifully installed overlooking the Danube
delta - the bench was given to
CZKd, Center for Cultural Decontamination. The project was
done in collaboration with the artists Andreas Sandström and Magnus Carlsson.
