Stockholm-Belgrade (part 1)
Stockholm-Belgrade (part 1) was a sculptural installation made of wood. In the Old Town in
Stockholm there is a place by the water called the ”helicopter landing pad“, where right wing
extremists traditionally spend time. Some disembarkment stairs for tourist boats, largely used
as a bench, have functioned as their hang-out. Throughout the years it has been thoroughly
ornamented, and thus turned into a monument of contemporary Swedish history. We built an
exact copy of the old bench – plus another unit in half the scale – and replaced the worn out
bench. The project was done in collaboration with the artists Andreas Sandström and Magnus
Carlsson.
